About Kitty McSweeney
Kitty McSweeney was brought up in New York City. She grew up spending her summers in Northeast Harbor on Mount Desert Island, which gave her a strong connection to Maine. She graduated from Berkshire School in Sheffield Massachusetts where she discovered a passion for writing. She continued to fuel her love of literature and writing as she obtained a Bachelors in Fine Arts from The University of Vermont with a major in literature and dead languages.
Upon moving back to New York City after college she immediately got a job at premier Upper East Side Bistro as a server and a job as a personal assistant to a Lower East Side art collector. A few years later Kitty moved to Portland, Maine, where she fell into the same roles. Within a week she was working as a server in one of Portland’s best fine dining restaurants, and as a personal assistant for a local investor. She then continued her education by gaining wine
certification through American Sommelier to stay competitive in the restaurant
industry. She left the restaurant industry and kept her personal assistant job which she maintained for eleven years.
Kitty began her real estate journey working in luxury vacation rentals where she received incredible training on how to locate, price, and manage rental properties. She has now brought this wealth of knowledge to Beacon Realty to start a rental program that caters to all of people’s rental needs. From assisting someone in finding the perfect rental, to working with owners to locate ideal tenants, Kitty’s goal is to act to each of her clients as their very own personal rental assistant.
